Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Qualification Details
Science Subjects
- Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
- Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). OR
- Passed Two years Vocational course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from State Education Boards / Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in vocational course).
Other than Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
- Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.)
SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS
- Individual should have represented the country in Junior/Senior International meets in any of the above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
- Individual should have attained the minimum standard of fifth place in the Junior National Championship, represented the State/Units in Senior National Championships or Inter University Championship in above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
- In team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior National Championship conducted by respective Sports Federations in above mentioned sports discipline. The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
- FOR CRICKET DISCIPLINE ONLY. – Only those Individuals to apply who have played BCCI Trophies – U-19, U-23, Ranji Trophy, Dilip Trophy, Deodhar Trophy or higher participation.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Physical Eligibility
General Medical Standards for Agniveervayu (Sports) male candidates are as follows:-
- Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms.
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
- Chest: The chest wall should be well proportioned with minimum range of expansion of 05 cms.
- Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
- Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
- Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
- General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Salary of Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Post
Agniveervayu (Sports) enrolled under this Scheme will be paid an Agniveer (Sports) package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules.
Terminal Benefits – Seva Nidhi Package
- 1st Year: Rs. 30,000 /- Per Month
- 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000 /- Per Month
- 3rd Year: Rs. 36,500 /- Per Month
- 4th Year: Rs. 40,000 /- Per Month
- Exit After 4 Year: Rs 11.71 Lakh as Seva Nidhi Package

- A printout of the application form is to be taken on A4 size paper only as per the prescribed format given at the end of the advertisement. Non-standard application forms will be rejected.
